Close loopholes and eliminate some deductions. |
Jobs, Education, and debt/deficit reduction will be my top three priorities. Jobs created through infrastructure spending and additional funding for education will come from small cuts in defense spending and the closure of loopholes and elimination of deductions in the tax code. Debt and deficit reduction can be accomplished through a balanced approach of spending cuts and revenue increases, similar to what Simpson-Bowles proposed. Spending cuts on unnecessary programs as well as new revenue achieved by closing loopholes and eliminating deductions will get us back on a course towards a balanced budget. |
